1977 Amtrak journey - Part 4
After leaving Miami, it was back to Chicago for the third time, this time via the
now-long-defunct "Floridian", from Jacksonville to Chicago, which passed through
Nashville & Louisville. A local train connected to it from Miami. From Chicago I rode the rails
to Detroit, and then headed to Montreal (by bus unfortunately), and finally Boston.
Seaboard Coast Line switch engine, which set up the "Floridian" connecting local
train I took from Miami to Jacksonville, Florida (March 1, 1977).
